Thank you so much to all of you for making such an effort with the students in these first few days. They were all so nervous when we were coming over, and now they all seem very happy with you. We hope they are not causing you any trouble. If they do, please let us know.
As well as to thank you, we are emailing you to send you a couple pieces of information. First of all, I activated my cell phone so now you can contact me at 5405392514 or at the Browning home: 540-9554774.
Secondly, we are attaching a tentative calendar with the students' planned activities. It is a tentative calendar because we are still open to any suggestions from you for activities and because some activities (such as volunteer activities) are still to be announced. Additional information about all the trips and activities will be forthcoming.
Also, regarding the field trips, I would greatly appreciate it if those who were interested in coming with us to the Appalachian Trail or other outings could contact me as soon as possible so that I can see who I can count on.
Regarding the Appalachian Trail I will provide further information (departure time, hike route, etc) as soon as I get them from Lee Sheaffer (Appalachian Trail president of the area and organizer of the activity for INGEOLS Summer Programs since 2006).
I would appreciate knowing as soon as possible if you can drive to any of the field trips. You may contact via email or phone.
One final thing before I let you go, there will be a pot luck party (we’ll provide drinks and desserts) on the 4th of July at the Browning's house (317 Hermitage Blvd) starting at 5:00 before we all head over to the pool. You are all welcome.
